Overview of Retail Math

The Retail Math Project was designed to showcase my skills in retail pricing strategies, inventory management, small business accounting, and data analysis. Using Excel, QuickBooks, and Sketch-Up, I applied real-world techniques to manage and evaluate a simulated retail business. Through this experience, I strengthened my ability to calculate essential retail metrics such as markup percentages, markdown strategies, stock turnover rates, and profit margins. I also gained hands-on experience with transaction recording, financial reporting, and inventory control through QuickBooks. This project enhanced my analytical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to translate raw data into strategic insights for retail operations.
