QuickBooks Dashboard

Brief Explanation of QuickBooks:

QuickBooks is a popular accounting software developed by Intuit that helps businesses manage their financial operations. It is widely used for tracking income and expenses, invoicing customers, paying bills, generating reports, managing payroll, and preparing for taxes. QuickBooks simplifies complex accounting tasks and provides businesses with a clear picture of their financial health.

Businesses use QuickBooks to:

  • Record and organize financial transactions

  • Create and send professional invoices

  • Track customer payments and outstanding balances

  • Monitor business expenses and categorize them properly

  • Generate detailed financial reports like profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements

  • Manage employee payroll and tax filings

  • Help ensure compliance with financial regulations and tax deadlines

Using QuickBooks can save businesses time, reduce errors, and make financial decision-making more efficient.

What I Did in This Assignment:

For this assignment, I worked inside the QuickBooks sample company, Craig’s Design and Landscaping Services. I explored the dashboard and practiced using key features such as:

  • Reviewing bank account balances

  • Checking and managing overdue bills and unpaid invoices

  • Uploading transactions

  • Viewing Profit & Loss summaries to track net income

  • Navigating shortcuts like "Create Invoice," "Record Expense," and "Add Bank Deposit"

The tasks helped me understand how QuickBooks organizes financial data and supports business decision-making by providing a clear overview of income, expenses, and tasks that need attention.
