Versace-Inspired Lionfish Gown

This project was created for my AP Art class in high school, where I conceptualized, designed, and constructed a custom gown from start to finish. Drawing inspiration from Versace and the intricate beauty of the lionfish, I began by sketching my design and creating a 3D runway model to visualize the concept.

Using my own measurements, I developed block patterns and translated them into precise patterns for the gown. From fabric selection to draping and sewing, every step of the construction process was completed by hand. This project not only showcased my technical skills in pattern making and garment construction but also allowed me to merge fashion with artistic expression.

The completed gown earned me a score of 5 on the AP Art exam, reflecting the highest level of achievement.
